Don’t you just LOVE dresses.
Growing up I was kind of a tomboy at times, but I always loved my cute dresses. Now that I’m older, I love the comfort and ease that a dress provides. But I have trouble finding cute, plus size dresses.
Did you ever notice some of the cutest designer dresses always come in sizes 10 or below? These designers don’t want chubby girls displaying their “art.” While it makes me sad that I can’t always find my favorite Kate Spade dress in my size, or that other popular designers call their size 10s a large, I do feel a change is coming.
Designers are starting to wake up and new ones are emerging, offering an amazing selection of cute plus size dresses. But, because the cutest dresses for us chubby girls are still hiding between the cracks, I went on a hunt for you and found some of my favorite options from my favorite plus size retailers.
Cute Plus Size Dresses
Defining exactly what a cute dress would be is kind of subjective, so I’ve included a little bit of everything that’s popular here, along with some of my personal favorites.
All of the dresses listed below come in sizes that are in a range from size 14w to 24w – XL to 3X. Most of these are at amazing prices so I apologize if anything sells out before you get to it. Scroll all the way through to see my Top Pick.

Three Tiers of Fantastic:
This dress would be adorable and flattering on any figure. It’s unique and absolutely adorable, appropriate for any party or fun night out. I will definitely by buying this dress.
This dress is extremely flattering, yet sexy. It’s perfectly designed to hide any trouble spots, while accenting bone structure and flattering the waist. I absolutely love this dress, and it happens to be hugely on sale, so I will be getting one.
Sweetheart in White:
This dress could easily go from bridal party formal to a semi-dressed up afternoon brunch. And that cross detail is both eye-catching and practical for support.
This dress is super simple, but somehow so cute and sexy. The attention the collar grabs, along with the flare skirt, make it perfectly waist slimming.
Little Black Babydoll:
Babydoll dresses can be either be really good or really bad for a plus-size figure. In this case, it’s perfect and flattering, and the cute straps add something special and sexy.
While this dress offers full-length coverage, it’s a perfectly fun tease with that slit and the v-neck dip.I could see this at an upscale bar or evening club. Try it with knee-high boots!
The lace on the top of this dress is so gorgeous and flattering. The front is just as gorgeous as the back, you should definitely click through to check out the other photos.
I do love a great maxi dress, and this one is unique and daring. It’s almost like a two piece that’s tied together with gorgeous straps across the back.
These dresses have been particularly popular these past few years, so I felt obligated to include one. They are absolutely adorable, but you’d have to be a real diva to wear it for just anything. I must admit, I have a secret desire to wear one to an amusement park, or even the mall.
Polka Dot Fun:
Polka dots are always super cute, to me, but they have to be done right. These purple dots on the stark white background, with the 3/4 sleeves and flare skirt, is just perfect. The tie brings it altogether and gives it a sailor-girl, vintage look. I think this is one that you could get away with as an everyday look. Plus…pockets!
One of my favorite designers, that I can so rarely wear due to size issues, is Kate Spade. I am a fan of clean lines, simple designs, polka dots, bright colors and cute bows. Thank goodness there is no size restriction for her handbags.
Kate Spade Look-Alike:
This dress I feel is inspired by my favorite designer. It looks very well constructed, with a flattering and waist-slimming cut. The little bow detail gives it that cute, unique flair.
